- Jewellery and watches may not be worn to class
Fees
- Fees must be paid half-termly (usually 6 weeks) in advance
- A 10% late fee will be added to your bill if it is not paid within 14 days
- Unfortunately absences are non-refundable
- Half term's notice (six weeks) must be made when withdrawing your child or the fees paid in lieu
- Failure to keep up with payments may result in the loss of your child's place in the school
- Fees may change at any time
Watching Classes
- It is important to watch your child's first class but once your child is settled in their class then please remain outside the room (unless it is a designated parent/guardian participation class)
- There are termly "watching weeks" where you are able to see the progress your child has made over the term. During watching weeks you are welcome to photograph your child but please keep photos of other dancers off social media
- Parental permission for photography by the school will be assumed unless notification refusing consent has been received in writing. These photographs may be used by the school for marketing/website purposes (with notification to the parent/guardian)
Teachers
- All teachers maintain up-to-date DBS (formerly CRB) certificates and are qualified to teach their genre of dance (with either RAD or ISTD) or are currently in training for their qualification
- Teachers are not responsible for any loss of property during classes
- Teachers are not responsible for children outside of class times
Exams
- Students will have the option to take exams when their teacher feels that they are ready. There is no obligation to take exams
- It is the role of the principal, after discussing the students with their teacher, to enter for exams
- Teachers adhere to the terms outlined by their examining body. Parents will be made aware of all fees, possible exam dates and uniform requirements prior to exam entry. If there are any concerns regarding dates, for example holidays, please make the principal aware of this prior to exam entry
- Exam entries must be paid by the exam deadline or the student will not be entered
Feedback & Complaints
- If any student or parent wishes to raise a concern or complaint, it must be brought to the attention of the principal, Faye Parker, by email immediately so that it can be dealt with swiftly
- Please be respectful to our teachers and other students and limit conversations to a minimum so that no class time is disrupted. As said above, the principal should be the point of contact
